About the Federation
Kung Fu
The Shaolin Nam Anh Kung Fu Federation preserves and transmits authentic Oriental martial arts while cultivating strong character through self-mastery, compassion, and service to others.
Founded by Grandmaster Nam Anh, his martial arts journey began in Vietnam in 1959. The Federation reflects his lifelong mastery of Shaolin and Wu Tang traditions, mainly Wing Chun, Pak Mei, and Tai Chi. In 1986, he brought the traditions to Montréal, Canada, where it has contributed to the growth of traditional Kung Fu in Québec by training generations of students, instructors, and masters.
Our teaching is guided by The Three Truths:
- Self-Mastery: Overcome oneself before seeking to overcome others.
- Compassion: Place the well-being of others before self-interest.
- Service: Contribute positively to society and future generations.

NAM ANH
Ching Woo Academy
The union of these two rival styles marked the end of hostilities between the two schools in Vietnam. Today, these two federations, created by Grandmaster Nam Anh, coexist under the same roof in Montreal. The Ching Woo Academy of Montreal offers rigorous training in three styles of Kung Fu: Wing Chun, Pak Mei, and Tai Chi Wu, while also serving as a training and practice center for anthropotherapy, a traditional Chinese medicine.
The Shaolin Wing Chun Orthodox and Pak Mei Orthodox Federations are dedicated to preserving the precious teachings of Grandmaster Nam Anh and spreading them by following the Way of the Heart.
